The aim of the Photography Group is to share knowledge and give practical help to enable members to improve the quality of their photographs. Also to understand how to best use their cameras whatever type they choose to use.
This is done during the group meetings on the first Tuesday of the month when a specific aspect of photography is discussed. We also look at each other’s pictures and constructive help and advice is offered to improve images if this is deemed necessary. The group leaders lead this and all members of the group are encouraged to voice their opinion on the image.
The images are projected to enable all members of the group to be involved.
A practical session is undertaken once a month. The date and time is varied to give all members the opportunity to attend as many practical sessions as possible. The venue of these practical sessions is varied to allow a diversity of pictures to be taken. The group leaders are available for help and assistance during these sessions. The resulting pictures are brought to the next theory session for discussion.
It is hoped that this approach will give theoretical and practical help to enable members to understand their cameras and improve the quality of their images.
