The sessions will address any subject that may arise when using a desktop computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone. This covers all Android devices but not Apple devices since the leaders have no experience with these.
Current versions of operating systems, browsers etc. will be used and all members are encouraged to keep their devices up to date as matter of course.
The session format is generally a talk with either slide presentations or a hands on presentation. This is followed by your questions and/or one to one workshop where individual’s problem can be addressed. We recommend members bring their own laptop, chromebook, tablet or smartphone with them to meetings in order to be able to join in.
Subjects to be covered typically include Windows 10 & Windows 11, Office applications from Microsoft, LibreOffice, and Google, as well as Android apps and other software as agreed from time to time.
Further subjects will be added at members request and members are encouraged to contribute with their questions (and their answers) during meetings. Suggestions from members for new topics for discussion are always welcome. Details of the topic for discussion at the next meeting will be advised to all members in advance.
Where possible slide presentations and content of hands on meetings will be made available after the meeting via links on this Group page.
