Steep hills are avoided entirely, and cruising speed will be according to members abilities and wishes. If inclement weather is forecast, or curtails a ride, arrangements are made to meet in a local cafe for coffee. At members own risk. Important to register as a group member to ensure any changes of venue or cancellation can be advised.<\/p> <p>The start of summer has certainly encouraged many more of our members to join the \u2018winter stalwarts\u2019 on our regular Monday morning rides. We recently had a record number of twenty two riders to start the summer season, and tried out a new arrangement whereby we have an extended ride on the first Monday of each month. This allows those members who would like to stretch their legs a little more to do so, and continue from one of our regular \u2018turn around points\u2019, but doesn\u2019t neglect those who cannot afford the extra time needed and prefer the shorter two-hour rides. All day rides are also occasionally arranged for days other than the regular Monday meets, with rides from Old Romney to Rye, Romney Marsh to Ivychurch, and St Margaret\u2019s at Cliffe to Sandwich recently completed.
